It was opening day of gun season in zone 2 in South Carolina. I decided to cross the creek and head to a stand I had never seen or been too before. I just joined a new hunting club. The guys gave me directions to the stand and off I went early that morning. Once the sun comes up I see a buck coming off the ridge. He presented me with a hard quartering away shot. I threaded the needle in between 3 oaks and dropped the deer. About 30-45 minutes later, I see another deer. I raise my gun and look through my scope. This deer is bigger than the first one so I aim and squeeze the trigger. I know my gun was dead on so I get down and go retrieve two South Carolina 8pt Bucks.
