On our farm we have a spot called the bluff . The land falls off on 3 sides down to 2 creeks. The drop off is about 100 ft to the bottom. I knew this deer came in with a 6 pointer so once I saw the 6 climb the hill I knew the 12 was behind it. Saw it quartering to me and shot it through the neck and out the heart . He ran 10 ft and started falling down the hill. I was by myself and my 100 ft rope wouldn’t reach him so I had to get ratchet straps and ratchet him 3-4 ft at a time to trees to keep him from sliding back down. Once I got him within 100 ft of my 4 wheeler I could pull him 8-10’ft at a time til het got up the hill. Then hard to navigate the trees getting him to our make shift road. Went and got the side by side and trailer and barely loaded him up. Started the 1 mile drive through the woods back to the house and started up the last hill as forgot to strap him down and he fell off my trailer l. Had to load him again by myself. He weighed 191 pounds and had a 7×5 rack
