I was guiding Lynzey on a hunt with the Roanoke Cashie Youth Dream Team (a nonprofit organization) and we shot a 6 pointer earlier that afternoon and 30 minutes before dark this monster came out. He chased a doe through the beans and came straight to the corn and Lynzey shot him with a Marlin .243 at 75 yards. He ran a little ways but we found him at about 100 yards away from the corn pile. The pure joy on that kids face made my entire night. It meant more to me than killing a deer myself. She had never been hunting before and she shot the deer of a lifetime for our area.
