Public land archery 8 point

I was wondering around a creek bed on some public in Darlington SC scouting for an afternoon hunt and found tons of fresh rubs and a few scrapes near some well known bedding area that I knew bucks liked to use. I found a good tree and began my climb, got to the top of the first stick and had just connected my lineman’s belt. As soon as my carabiner snapped close I heard a rack rip through brush (a sound that we all know and don’t need too much further investigation to prove) I peaked around my tree and saw his rack bouncing up and down as he walked slowly through the creek bed. Realizing he was about 18 yards away I hastily pulled my bow up and had to hold it in my teeth while I got my release on and then I nicked an arrow, and about the time I did that I drew and he was broadside still walking that creek bed but at 8 yards and I let an arrow fly. It hit perfect and he hardly flinched I then put another in him and he walked about 20 yards and laid down. It was over.
