I had just sat down in the stand for maybe 20 mins, I had put out a little doe pee. After getting in the box stand and getting comfortable I threw out a good rattle, waited a few seconds and done it again. Probably 3 mins later he come over the hill in a good sprint onto the power line thinking he was coming to me. Nope, he darted into the woods to my left but I stayed in the scope knowing he would come back out. He stepped out about 3 mins later headed towards the doe pee and I have a little grunt and he stopped and I pulled the trigger on the 30-06 and dropped him in his tracks. 8pt 150lb buck for my first ever kill was a blessing.
