It was a cool rainy day and my daughter’s first hunt of the season. A family friend takes her hunting. She had killed a doe, but not a buck. She hadn’t shot her rifle in over a year. She killed him with 1 shot using her 243. A 158lb 8 pointer. He was around a 100 yards away with a few doe. I got the call as I was clearing up from an EMS call. Its her senoir year and all she wanted was to kill a buck before she graduated.
