My uncle Chris took me out hunting for youth weekend. I was sitting there about ready to go in because it was getting close to dark. He told me to hold out just a little longer because the big ones come out at dark. And sure enough, a few minutes later, this monster walked out. I was so nervous. Chris let me steady my gun across his knee, I found the buck in my scope and pulled the trigger! I was so excited. We looked for a while but never found blood. I was so worried I had missed him. We decided to wait to little bit. When we went back out, my dad actually spotted him. I hit him in the lungs but the bullet never exited the body, it was lodged in his shoulder blade, the reason for very little blood. I was so excited to find him and even more excited when I was able to get up close and see just how big he was! It was an amazing hunt and I’m so thankful I was able to bring this big boy home!
