This was the first time we hunted this property. It was cold and raining and I didn’t really want to get out of bed but my dad said its good day to hunt. I used a 308. That my dad got and had never shot a deer with it before. I sat I stand alone and watched as a big 7 point came out about 100 yards away. Before I could get rifle up he jumped back into woods where I couldn’t see him. I was disappointed then all of a sudden the 8 pointer came out and stood perfect about 150 yards from me. I shot and he ran about 30 yards and stopped. I was gonna shoot it again cause I was worried but then he fell over dead. It was a great hunt and I am so glad I got out of bed.
