Kevin Martin kills Rockingham County brute

Kevin Martin killed a mainframe 10-point buck that weighed 200 pounds in Rockingham County on Nov. 5, 2023. The deer had 4 stickers, for a total of 14 score-able points.

Martin’s daughter, Kaitlyn Priddy shares the story of his hunt here:

“My dad has worked his entire life to purchase land and be able to hunt on his own property. They purchased 60+ acres of land last year and he has been watching this deer ever since. It was the first deer he shot on his land that he worked so hard for. He hit him low, and he thought he had lost the deer. Almost 18 hours later, the dog arrived to track the deer and he found him. This was just two days after he shot another deer he had been watching for months on another piece of property he hunts regularly. Both deer are easily 200+ pounds and are two of his biggest kills.

The pictures of him in the orange shirt was with the deer he shot on his own property, he used Low To Ground Deer Recovery to come help him find it. 10 pointer with 14 scorable points, he weighed more than 200 pounds.

The photo of him in the camo is the deer he killed two days before, he weighed in at 203.87 pounds.”
