Rockingham County buck showed up at 8 a.m.
Josh Williams of Madison, NC killed a Rockingham County buck on Nov. 19, 2023. Williams was hunting from a tree stand in a forest of hardwoods when the deer showed up. He shot it at 8 a.m. with a Model 1895 Marlin .45-70 from 20 yards away.
“The deer ran 10 yards and piled up. I had trail camera pictures of this deer, but he was not on a regular schedule,” said Williams.
