Daniel Whaley’s Cherokee Run 12-point buck

Daniel Whaley killed this 12-point buck, which had been nicknamed “Utana Ahwi” by the folks at Cherokee Run Hunting Lodge, in November. He shot the buck at 12 yards.

Utana Ahwi, in the Cherokee language, means big deer. The folks at Cherokee Run often incorporate the language when naming trophy deer and different hunting stands on the property.

Cherokee Run Hunting Lodge is located in Chesterfield, SC and offers deer, turkey and hog hunts to customers from all over the world. Night hunts for hogs from comfortable box stands are one of the unique adventures hunters can try here. When coupled with daytime deer or turkey hunts, these hunts make a great combo.
