Dahlia’s brother Justus was taking her out to get her first deer of the season! He had a spike who had been on camera several days and decided she could bag him for the freezer.
This beautiful 18.5 inch 9 point shows up with the spike. He had not been on our camera all year!
She made a great shot but no blood. Justus has a track dog and Copper took them straight to it!

The hunt was Apogee Anson's 2nd annual Heritage Hunt hosted by Four Branches Sporting Preserve in Polkton, NC. Students of Apogee Anson and parents were invited to hunt at the Four Branches Sporting Preserve.
