8-point buck was in full velvet
Callie Branham killed this 8-point buck during a Calhoun County, S.C. hunt on Aug. 16, 2021. The trophy buck was still sporting its velvet. It weighed 180 pounds.
Unique trophies like this one are possible in South Carolina, which opens its deer hunting season in Game Zones 3 & 4 on Aug. 15.
