I walked in the swamp to do my usual route and stumbled across an 8 point feeding on acorns. I watched as he walked out of sight , then eased my way to where he was. I knew if one was walking through there sooner or later another one would travel close by , so I sat on a fallen down tree and waited. It wasn’t five minutes then I caught a glimpse of a deer moving through the timber and seen it was a good buck. I tried to move with him as he was walking out of sight, then when he disappeared in the brush I knew I messed up and let a good one get by me. I knew right then I had to do something to get him to come back. I grunted and pulled out the ole bleat can, but I wanted to give it all I had so I hit some horns together. As I sit there doubting he would never come back he popped back out at 60 yards and was looking dead at me. I grabbed my 6.5 and shot him right in the chest and he buckled up and ran about 30 yards and tumbled. My biggest to date and I couldn’t be happier. G1 Innovation’s team is on the board .
