On the morning of 10/26/25 myself and my son Triston bell had decided to hunt a stand that hadn’t been hunted this year. We had some pictures of a decent 9 point and decided if he showed up we would take him. So we slipped in nice and quiet about 30 minutes before daybreak. As soon as we were able to start seeing the food plot the deer began popping out. The first deer that stepped into the food plot had two smaller deer with it and we assumed it was a doe and two yearlings. Little did we know but as the light began to grow the deer we thought was a doe began to look more like a buck. After about 20 minutes the buck finally gave us a good look and boy were we surprised at what we had in the plot. With the buck feeding facing straight away from us for more than ten minutes we were wondering if he was ever going to give a shot opportunity. And then in an instant one of the other deer bolted causing the big buck to turn and come to full attention broadside. I said there he is shoot him Triston without hesitation he drew a bead and smoked him dropping him in his tracks at 138 yards.
