Yesterday evening’s hunt is one I’ll never forget. I slipped into the stand with my camera ready, hoping to capture my first self-filmed deer hunt. The woods were calm as the sun started to sink lower.
Before long, a few does drifted through the timber, feeding quietly as the light began to fade. I kept the camera rolling, waiting, hoping.
Then, right around 6:40, I caught movement—antlers easing through the brush. My heart started pounding as the buck stepped into view.
I steadied myself, drew back my Martin Firecat 34, and when the moment was right, I let the arrow fly. The buck didn’t make it far.
That evening hunt will always be special—not just for the deer, but because I captured the whole experience on film for the very first time. A memory I’ll carry forever.
