Went to two man ladder stand on December 7th for a late season pm hunt. After sitting for an hour three doe came to the corn pile. Then four smaller bucks came out. The stand is in a hardwood bottom inside the woods near my home. My shooting lane is narrow and with the activity I eased my Browning x-bolt on to the shooting rail. About this time the 9pt came across the shooting lane trailing a doe. I held in place and the third time the 9pt crossed I dropped him at 60 yards with my .300 Win Mag. I had this buck on camera and visual sightings during the past two hunting seasons but since I had moved my trail cam away from this stand, my hunt was a great surprise. He was my second biggest deer and I thank the Lord for this experience.
