My son and I saw this deer the day before. Heavy in the rut and chasing does. We sat and saw nothing, then j told him if they are gonna show up, it’s gonna be soon!
Then a few minutes later a small buck was behind us and I was looking at that as my son said the big one is coming to us. I told him to turn over the can call and as soon as he heard that he ran the rest of the way. At 25 yards turned broadside and I put up the crossbow. In my ear and adding to the pressure is my son saying there he is, don’t miss him, please make sure you hit him. So I did he ran off 50 yards and dropped. Then the fun began dragging him uphill. Checked my camera pictures down earlier in the year and we had been watching this deer since he was in velvet.
