At 6-years-old, Easton Childress harvested his first deer on Oct. 25, 2023 with a crossbow in Chatham County, NC. He has been practicing religiously to be accurate without the help of his dad. Two weeks ago he made a shot on a buck and hit too low and we never recovered the deer. He was heart broken. I explained to him that it happens to everyone, even the pros, and it was a learning experience, but he would have another shot at one. Well that shot happened yesterday and he made this one count. I’m so proud of you buddy! I look forward to spending many more days with you in the woods. Welcome to the addiction!
