I was sitting at the edge of a field on my property and it was starting to rain that morning the rain got heavy so I got up and was gonna sit in the barn as I was walking towards the barn a doe came running across the field followed by the big 10 point I ran and got steady on the nearest tree and he was just about to be out of sight at 150 yards so I yelled at him real loud he stopped and looked my way and I popped him with my ole 270 . He ran back from were he came and I thought I had missed him till he tripped up and fell I knew I had him . The day before I had another large buck come out and I couldn’t get a good shot so i waited to long to shoot and he ran off. If it hadn’t of been for me trusting my gut and not shooting the other buck I would have never went back the next day and may have not had this once in a lifetime opportunity to take my dream buck. I thank the lord for putting him in my path . I green scored him at 140”
