8-point buck weighed 152 pounds
Landon Gasque of Latta, SC killed an 8-point buck that weighed 152 pounds in Dillon County on Oct. 27, 2023 during an evening hunt. The 11-year-old was hunting over a soybean field with his dad, when the deer emerged from the woods. He carefully aimed and made a perfect 100-yard shot with his .243, hitting the deer just right. The buck, which had a 15-inch inside spread, ran about 75 yards before collapsing. It is Gasque’s biggest deer so far.
