Other info: This is my new personal best which was previously 63 pounds that I had also caught on Lake Tillery a couple years prior. My guide partner and I had just dropped off a father and son after a youth trip giveaway that Carolina Squared Outdoors and Pogue Life Guide Service had done on Facebook at the dock. I picked up a friend of mine (Blaise Steadman) that also broke his personal best with a 35.2 pound flathead about. A half hour before I caught my blue cat. We were fishing out of a
20 foot G3 gator tough with a 115 Yamaha SHO. We marked the fish using side scan from our Garmin 73sv. I am unsure of this is but I think this may be a new lake record.
Following is the picture of the flathead that was caught on the same type of bait and tackle the blue was caught. The anglers name is Blaise Steadman and the weight of the fish is 35.2 pounds.
