Caught this Stingray in front of the Dolphin Lane Motel in Carolina beach Saturday morning 11-8-2025. Took almost an hour to reel it in using a Penn spin fisher vi 6500 on and 10′ Penn battalion rod using 80lb braid. One heck of a fight. Didn’t have time to measure before releasing. My brother is an engineer and using software he was able to determine the ray to be at least 6′ + or – 3″ wide.
