Cobia bite is heating up in Carolina waters
All up and down the Carolina coastlines, anglers have been catching big numbers of cobia this May. Some anglers are catching them inshore. Others are catching them along nearshore and offshore reefs.
Ryan Jeffords got in on the action while fishing in South Carolina’s lowcountry waters this past weekend.
The cobia usually stick around into the summer, with a smaller number staying in the area into the fall. Cobia are great fun to catch, they don’t give up easily (even when in the boat), and they taste great.
