Cherry Grove Pier’s first king mackerel of 2022

Cherry Grove

Chip Brown caught Cherry Grove Pier’s first king mackerel of 2022. He caught the fish on April 24. It weighed 22.4 pounds. Brown followed up his catch on May 6 with the pier’s second king mackerel of the year.

Things should get really cranking as the water continues to warm up, and as more people flock to the coast for springtime — then summertime — vacations.

The Cherry Grove Pier has a fully-stocked tackle shop with everything, including bait, that anglers need for a day, weekend, or extended trip to the coast. They also have accommodations, a gift shop, and restaurant. The pier is a great destination for anglers, but it’s also good for those just wanting to do a little sight seeing.
