Catching spawning crappie with Wild Life Adventures

No electronics need for catching spawning crappie

As we head into the last 10 days of April, crappie are spawning all across the Carolinas. Anglers are finding plenty of them in shallow water coves all the way from Kerr Lake to Clarks Hill. These fish are biting a variety of lures, and live minnows are always good choices for bait.

Sam Seamster of Wild Life Adventures shows us exactly how he’s finding and catching spawning crappie right now. His tactics work in all bodies of water, as long as these fish are spawning.

Anglers who specialize in crappie all year long are skilled at finding them in deep holes with electronics. But when these fish are spawning, no electronics are needed to find the fish. Of course, they come in handy for navigating as Seamster shows, but finding the fish is another story.
