Kinley Lambert of Stanfield, NC killed a 13-point buck in Stanly County, NC on Sept. 26, 2026.
She shot the buck with a 243 rifle during an evening hunt while sitting on the ground from 25 yards away.
Lambert summed up the hunt with these words:
“I learned to shoot a gun 2 hours before we went out on the hunt. Sat out there for maybe 45 minutes when the buck walked out. Waited for him to pause and took my chance and shot him. He ran maybe 10 yards and dropped.”
