1st Annual Cape Fear Wildlife Expo to be Held in Wilmington

The First Annual Cape Fear Wildlife Expo will be held March 21 and 22, 2009 in Wilmington.

Over 100 exhibitors expected to showcase outdoor products and services

The First Annual Cape Fear Wildlife Expo will be held Saturday, March 21st from 9:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Sunday, March 22nd from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. in historic downtown Wilmington’s Schwartz Center and Coastline Convention Center.

Over 100 exhibitors are expected to showcase hunting, fishing, and other products and services for outdoor enthusiasts, including truck and ATV demos, boats and accessories, wildlife art displays, decoy displays, fly fishing demos, hunting and fishing products, Hunter Safety Certification Class, and many more outdoor sports related items.

Preceding the Expo will be the Wild Game Cook-off on January 24, 2009 at Poplar Grove Plantation in Wilmington, NC.  A great way for outdoor enthusiasts, sportsmen/women, backyard gourmets, and grillers to flaunt culinary skills and enjoy old fashion fellowship, food and fun!  Cooking teams will compete in three divisions; Game, Fowl, and Fish – with cash prizes in each division.

The Cape Fear Wildlife Expo encourages youth to enjoy the outdoors through hunting, fishing, and other outdoor related sports and events.  The Expo’s goal is to heighten public awareness of our natural resources and to encourage conservation of these natural resources.
