SCS Adds Long-time Contributor to Staff

Dan Kibler is the new Managing Editor of South Carolina Sportsman magazine.

The best outdoor magazine in the Palmetto State continues to get better.

In March, South Carolina Sportsman added award-winning outdoor writer Dan Kibler as its managing editor.

A native of Georgia, Kibler spent the past 28 years in Winston-Salem, N.C., working as the Winston-Salem Journal’s outdoor editor for 22 years.

Additionally, he has written on a contributing basis for South Carolina Sportsman since its inception in January 2006 and for the magazine’s sister publication, North Carolina Sportsman, since it began in 1994.

“We’re familiar with Dan’s body of work as well as his work ethic, so we couldn’t be happier to add him full-time to our team,” South Carolina Sportsman Editor Todd Masson said. “We’re confident our readers will notice an even better product.”

Kibler and his family will relocate to the Fort Mill area.
