Regional and Divisional awards
In September, South Carolina’s game wardens and their families gathered in Columbia for their 2026 Officer of the Year Banquet, celebrating the outstanding service, dedication and accomplishments of officers from across the SCDNR Law Enforcement Division.
Representative Bill Hixon served as the guest speaker, and the Hampton Wildlife Fund Board helped make this year’s event possible.
Each year, officers are selected from SCDNR’s 27 field units, as well as their Education & Outreach, and Investigations sections. From these selections, regional and divisional Officers of the Year are chosen and honored at the banquet. From this distinguished group, one officer is selected as the overall SCDNR Law Enforcement Officer of the Year.
Congratulations to the 2026 SCDNR Regional and Divisional Officers of the Year:
PFC Tyler Thompson: Region 1 Officer of the Year
PFC Parker Calvert: Region 2 Officer of the Year
LCpl Ed Laney: Region 3 Officer of the Year
PFC Jason Wallace: Region 4 Officer of the Year
LCpl Elise Still: Education & Outreach Officer of the Year
INV Matthew Hammond: Investigations Officer of the Year
PFC Cameron Smith: NASBLA Boating Officer of the Year
PFC Parker Calvert was also awarded the 2026 SCDNR Law Enforcement Officer of the Year. ■
