CHARLOTTE, N.C. P&G, in partnership with Berkley, will host a visit with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Charlotte on Saturday, April 26 from 1 to 2:30 p.m. at the Charlotte Convention Center in conjunction with the Wal-Mart FLW Tour National Guard Open on Lake Norman April 24-27.
Each participant will receive a T-shirt from P&G and a rod and reel combo from Berkley. The visit will also include a tour of the FLW Outdoors® Family Fun Zone and Outdoor Show followed by a fishing clinic and a Q-and-A session with P&G and Berkley pros. At the clinic, participants will learn basic fishing skills, such as knot tying and casting, and will discuss the importance of conservation and the environment.
After the clinic, participants will have an opportunity to participate in fishing-themed games and activities, including Ranger boat simulators, an obstacle course and a trout pond. Finally, everyone from Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Charlotte will be treated to special seating for the nationally televised weigh-in starting at 4 p.m.
Big Brothers Big Sisters has been the leader in one-to-one mentoring services for more than a century, developing positive relationships that have a direct and lasting impact on the lives of young people. Big Brothers Big Sisters mentors children, ages 6 through 18, in communities across the country.
