Bryson Fuller’s 158-inch buck

Granville County buck had 16 points

Bryson Fuller of Oxford, NC killed a 16-point buck in Granville County, NC on Sept. 28, 2026.

He shot the buck with a Ravin R10 crossbow during an evening hunt while sitting on the ground from 25 yards away.

Fuller summed up the hunt with these words:

“I had this deer on camera last year during the 2025 season as a 115-inch 8-point. After having cameras out this year, it wasn’t long before he showed up and had blown into a monster buck compared to the year before. I knew this was the buck I wanted to hunt for the year, so I put a lot of time into this specific deer.

Opening day came along and I never saw him. He continued to come in on the camera a couple of times a week. I sat for this deer four more times with no luck. Sept. 28 came along and I was watching about eight does and a 120-inch, 8-point buck. Suddenly I saw the buck I was after and another 8-point coming in across the field. He made his way up to 25 yards and I shot him. He made it about 120 yards and died. He ended up scoring about 158 inches.”

Fuller is now entered in our Bag-A-Buck Contest, and is eligible to win our monthly prize pack, which includes a set of Ultimate Eyes & Ears Combo from ShellShock Pro, a YETI Rambler bottle, a prize package from Buck Commander and Duck Commander, and a Carolina Sportsman hat, as well as our Grand Prize, a 2-day hunt for two to Cherokee Run Hunting Lodge in Chesterfield County, SC.
