I (Andy Flinchum) killed this 23.59-pound, 11-inch bearded, 1-inch super-sharp spurred old gobbler on April 23, 2026. This bird been very smart since the season started with a harem of hens by his side. But my best friend Cory Cook (pictured with me here) called him up within range with his fatal attraction Cook Cutter by Sunrize Custom Calls, and his calling skills so I could harvest this smart gobbler that Thursday afternoon. It was my last day to be able to turkey hunt this season as the next morning, at 6:30 a.m., I was having knee replacement surgery, also on my birthday. So not only did Cory help me harvest this bird from his calling/hunting skills but he also helped give me a priceless, memorable birthday gift.
