Youth hunt morning. My son and I arrived at the farm at 6:10 and parked the truck a couple hundred yards from the stand. We sat in the truck talking through scenarios until 6:25 when we headed to the stand. Once we got settled in the stand as the woods started to wake up a small buck came into the field. He was excited and contemplated shooting it as he decided yo pass a second, third, and fourth appeared. The target 9 point we have had on cameras around the property. With his 7mm/08 in hand he made a clean and ethical shot at 80 yards just behind the shoulder killing the buck where he stood. A memory we will not soon forget.
