I took these two young fellas “Silas and Mitchell” on their first squirrel hunt of the season yesterday (1/18/25). We hunted behind my Mtn Feist with them, myself and Silas’ father. We hunted in Rockingham county along the Dan River and the first tree my dog made was this big female fox squirrel. Mitchell (orange vest) plans to get it mounted. They were smiling ear to ear when the squirrel finally fell victim to their shotguns and hit the ground with that signature “thud.” A hunt I’ll never forget also! – Jacob Montgomery (Facebook)
