SCDNR property closures and advisories

Some SCDNR closures are due to COVID-19, some for other reasons

As of Aug. 24, 2021, the following closures and advisories are in effect from the SCDNR:

James O Thomason Shooting Range Closed

The James O Thomason shooting range in Spartanburg will be closed from the August 24-26th due to COVID-19 illness and will re-open on Friday the 27th of August at its normal time of 9:00 am.

Horry County Office Closed

Due to an employee testing positive for COVID-19, the Horry County SCDNR Boat Titling and License Sales Office will be closed August 25-27th. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Licenses, tags, and permits are available online 24/7.

Toll-free Number Unavailable

Due to a technical issue, the toll-free telephone number normally available for the sale of S.C. Department of Natural Resources (SCDNR)-issued hunting and fishing licenses and watercraft renewals will be unavailable for an indeterminate period of time beginning this afternoon (8/16/2021). We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Licenses, tags, and permits are available online 24/7. See the related press release for more information.

State Farmer’s Market: Limited Staff

Effective July 29, 2021, due to an employee testing positive for COVID-19, the SCDNR State Farmer’s Market Boat Titling and License Office will be operating with limited staff. Please note that this shortage may result in longer than usual wait times for both in-person visitors and those calling over the phone. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Licenses, tags, and permits are available online 24/7.

South Island Ferry Boat Landing Closed

HEADS UP BOATERS: The boat landing at South Island Ferry in Georgetown County is under construction and closed to boat and vehicle traffic while Georgetown County crews work to expand parking at the future South Island Parking Lot.

St. Stephen’s Fish Lift Closed

The St. Stephen’s Fish Lift (Shad cam available) is closed.
