Took my grandson, Mason on a fishing trip to Lake Monticello for a little late catfish spawning action. Using 11-foot crappie rods and 4-pound test line, we caught a cooler full of catfish, ranging from 3 pounds up to 9 pounds. Here is Mason with his new personal best fish that went 9 pounds. Took him about 15 minutes to boat this fish, but he played it like a pro, using the drag and long pole to tire this big girl out!
