  • On Friday evening, November 3, 2017 in Granville County it was warm outside so I didn't think it was a good night to hunt. I decided to go get in the stand at the last minute. I used my Primos can to try to call one out. I turned the can about 5 times and a buck came out from behind me about 25 yards. I shot him with my CVA 50 cal Wolf muzzleloader. I thought there would be a lot of tracking because after the smoke cleared, I saw a big red circle as he ran out of the field. Luckily he only went around 75 yards in the woods. He was a 12 point buck, 22.5 wide inside and 24 inches outside. He had double brow tines on both sides. This is a buck of a lifetime!
