  • My name is Dakota Parker. I was deer hunting in Raeford on November 10th,2017. I got up in my deer stand around 4 o'clock in the evening and I sat there till about 5:15pm. That's when I saw a small spike, but I let him walk because I knew the big one was in the area. Then when the spike walked away, I hit the grunt call twice. As soon as I did that, the 14 point came running out of all the oak trees with his head high and turned broadside. I shot him with my vortek muzzleloader .50 cal. After I shot him, he ran about 50 yard then crashed. He is the biggest deer I've ever shot.
