  • Last deer season was my first. I was motivated to start by two of my kids. A buddy was good enough to invite me into his family oriented club, good bunch of people. Club is primarily a dog drive club. Still hunts a available on non dog drive days, but priority is given to dog drives.

Ive been assured by numerous members that when I hunt, 2 -3 days after the last dive, it doesn't effect still hunting. I can tell you I kept my corn pile fresh and had numerous deer on my trail cam at night. Of the EST. 300+ pic's I only had a handful of deer in the day, mostly doe and all small. While setting my stand, 20 times I saw 6 small doe. Yes I used a cover scent along with other normal precautionary measures to avoid detection. This leads me to my question, is being a still hunter in a dog drive club a waste of money and time???
