Suzanne Baker landed this giant red drum after a 3 1/2 hour battle from shore! It was a slow day of trout fishing on Good Friday for Suzanne and a couple of her friends. All of a sudden Suzanne's reel started screaming after the drum hit a small live mud minnow. She couldn't tighten the drag up any more than it already was without losing the fish. After realizing how large the drum was she knew this fight was going to be forever long with only 10 pound test line on a midium-light action rod. The drum was peeling line off so fast she had too chase him down the bank. This went on and on for 3 1/2 hours before the drum finally got within reach to land! Some quick measurements and pictures were taken and then the drum was released alive. The 48' drum is estimated to be over 40 pounds!
