I have asked the taxidermist to keep the jawbone for me so I can send it in for an official age. He took a quick look at it and estimated it around 4 years old. Based on the body shape, how the neck merged with the bottom of the brisket and his defined front shoulders, my guess was at least 4 years old. He was a trophy of a deer in all aspects.

Hey, thanks for the kind words, it's absolutely a unique and once-in-a-lifetime buck for me.
We haven't measured the base circumference yet. At this time, we're not even sure if it can be officially scored.

The most over looked area of hunting is public land on the tar river...a buddy and me duck hunt it. If you have access to a john boat then you'll get no better place to hunt true MONSTERS. We've found sheds back in our duck hunting whole that dwarfs both bucks i have on the wall!
