Went out with a good friend and Fly fishing guide Justin Anderson of Fontana Guide service and learned to Euro-Nymph, and was catching fish literally within minutes after not having casted a fly in 8-10 years - 2 men - 20+ fish in a couple of hours - great time on the river
I highly recommend these guys

Finally got the residents to work this morning, I've been pluckin one at a time pass shooting the last few. There were a few teal around this september, got blue wings and green. Got a spike buck 9/21 (freezer candy), been a good year so far and it hasn't even started to get cold yet. Looks like there are a lot of folks through out the state having good seasons - happy to see it - good luck to all
Went for doves for an hour or two, wasn't hittin on much, they hadn't cut the corn in my usual spot yet, the fog sat in heavy yesterday morning on the water and I saw more moccassins than geese, hopefully tomarrow morning will yeild a better result, and maybe get to stick one tomarrow evening - haven't had anything but nannies and turkeys on the trail cam. have had very few day time pics and no night time pics, but all the corn is gone, any pointers on set up or settings to capture more activity (camera closer to the corn, etc..), anybody else ever had a similar issue?
Been looking around on NCWRC website and saw a few of the season Dates, given the recent posts, I thought this might be helpful
