PBC ACADEMY SPORTS & OUTDOORS $10,000 SPRING TEAM BASS TRAIL
    CHAMPIONSHIP RESULTS
Saturday June 16th, 2018 ~ Falls Lake ~ Ledge Rock Wildlife Ramp

What a great day for the 78 teams fishing for the $10,000 1st place prize money in the 2018 PBC Academy Sports &
Outdoors $10,000 Spring Team Bass Trail Championship at Falls Lake! Morning air temp was around 69 degrees then
warmed up to 88 in the pm. Water temps averaged about 86 degrees. Winds were light all day! The lake level was right
at 252 and water clarity was good. Bass were shallow in the morning and then moved out to around 6 to 12' when the sun
came up. After everyone was weighed in the polygraph was given. Then all the anglers were treated to hot dogs, chips
and drinks! Then we gave away over $7,000 in door prizes thanks to our great sponsors!!! Then awarded the prize
money & trophies! PBC had a great year and thanks to all that supported this great trail.

Dan Glosson & Scottie Morris topped the field weighing in 5 bass at 25.77 lbs. winning 1st Place and 1st Place TWT to
take home a whopping $11,925 in prize money. The team found the fish early in 2' to 4' of grassy water using worm rigs
and later on crankbaits. They had 5 solid fish!
Sam & Matthew Jones took 2nd Place with 5 fish weighing 25.70 lbs. and won the 1st Place Big Fish (7.88 lbs.) to take
home $2,421 in winnings. The 3rd Place Team of Stephen Lasher & Chad Fara weighed in 5 at 22.54 lbs. and also won
the 2nd Place TWT to pocket $1,644. 2nd Place Big Fish was won by the 16th Place Team of Stewart Adams & Scott

The 2018 PBC Academy Sports & Outdoors $10,000 Spring Team Bass Trail Points Champions belonged to the team of
Jaime Fajardo & Josh Hooks. They took home $1,000 for that and also won 6th Place in the Championship for $490!!

257 fish were weighed in for a total of 800 pounds for an average of 3.11 lbs. each, a good average for Falls Lake even
with a cold front that had moved in a few days before! Most of the fish were caught on Carolina & Texas worm rigs and
crankbaits in anywhere from 2 to 12 feet of water. Warm weather is here so look for a morning shallow bite and then go
deeper when the sun comes up! Don't believe the naysayers...Falls Lake is doing just fine.

I want to thank all the anglers that participated and all our sponsors that supported this trail. Our next tournament is

PBC ACADEMY SPORTS and OUTDOORS $10,000 SPRING TEAM BASS TRAIL
    QUALIFIER #5 RESULTS
Saturday April 28th, 2018 ~ Jordan Lake ~ Farrington Point Wildlife Ramp

The 2018 PBC Academy Sports & Outdoors $10,000 Spring Team Bass Trail Qualifier #5 at Jordan Lake got off with a
great start with light winds and morning temps at 52 degrees. It then warmed up to around 70 in the pm. Water temps
averaged about 63 degrees. Winds were light at the 6:30 blastoff and then picked up to 8 to 12 for the afternoon! 90
teams duked it out and between a full moon, cool night and the lake rising 4 feet almost overnight it was tough!

Randy Parker & Rick Ohlson topped the field weighing in 5 bass at 26.34 lbs. plus they won the 1st Place TWT for a
total of $3,120 in winnings. The team found the fish in shallow water around trees & bushes while flipping plastic worms
& jigs!!! They had 1 really good fish (6.13) that helped weight the sack!!
Scott Mooneyham & Buster Seabolt took 2nd place with 5 fish weighing 22.54 lbs. to take home $864 in winnings. The
3rd Place Team of Bud Whitt & Spencer Moody weighed in 5 at 20.62 lbs., took 2nd Place TWT and won the 1st Place
Big Fish (7.75 lbs.) for a whopping total of $2,635!! The 2nd Place Big Fish (6.77 lbs.) was won by Tyler Faggart & Paul
Owens netting them $534!! The prize money got spread around pretty good today!

Only 225 fish were weighed in (which is really low for Jordan this time of year) for a total of 691 pounds for an average
of 3.07 lbs. each. Most of the fish were caught on plastic worms, jigs, chatterbaits and spinnerbaits in anywhere from 1
to 5 feet of water. We still need for the water to warm up a little to get that hot bite we all want! Going to Falls in 2 weeks
and hopefully it will warm up a bit! Falls is always a great lake just about any time of year!!

I want to thank all the anglers that participated and all our sponsors that support this trail. Our next tournament is

Kerr Lake! 97 boats vied for the win on a warm day at Kerr. That morning the air temp was 64 degrees then warmed up
to 80 in the pm. Water temps averaged about 60 degrees. Winds were light at blastoff and then picked up to about 10
mph for the afternoon! For most of the anglers the bite was good with a lot of 2 pounders caught and also a lot of 4 lb.

CASHION FISHING RODS SPRING TEAM TOURNAMENT BASS TRAIL QUALIFIER #4
    Saturday April 7th, 2018 ~ ~ Kerr Lake ~ ~ Flemingtown Landng Wildlife Ramp

The bad weather hit us again!! We had the Cashion Fishing Rods Spring Team Tournament Bass Trail Qualifier #4 at
Kerr Lake knowing it might get rough. The weather for the 25 teams was not too bad in the morning with hardly any rain
from blastoff to 10am and winds very light with air temps in the 50's. At 12 noon everything started to change leading to
15 to 20 mph winds, steady rain and the temps dropping to 39 when we left. It was tough those last 3 hours on the water!!
But our guys are tough too!! Surface water temps averaged 56 degrees! The fish were caught in 2 to 10 foot of water.
The water level was right at 303 and should be warming up starting this coming week!

Jaime Fajardo & Josh Hooks stayed warm enough to catch 5 keepers weighing a total of 18.42 lbs. to take 1st
Place and 1st Place TWT for a total of $1,325 in prize money!

Close behind was the 2nd Place team of Todd Massey & Brandon Gray landing 5 bass weighing
16.62 lbs. and along with winning the 2nd Place TWT and 1st Place Big Fish (5.22 lbs.) they took home $1,035 in
winnings. The 3rd Place Father/Son team of Chuck & Levi Byrd presented 5 bass weighing 15.96 lbs. to rack up
$320 in winnings. The 2nd place Big Fish (5.05 lbs.) was caught by the team of John Anton & Britt Kuchen
for $150 in winnings! The bass weighed in Saturday we very fat and healthy!! Good to see that at Kerr again!!!

95 bass were brought to the scales for a total of 251 pounds averaging 2.64 lbs. each. Short leadered Carolina Rigs
in shallow water, spinner baits and Jigs seemed to be the lures of choice.

PBC ACADEMY SPORTS & OUTDOORS $10,000 SPRING TEAM BASS TRAIL
    QUALIFIER #3 RESULTS
Saturday March 31st, 2018 ~ Falls Lake ~ Ledge Rock Wildlife Ramp

The 2018 PBC Academy Sports & Outdoors $10,000 Spring Team Bass Trail Qualifier #3 at Falls Lake was a record
setter! 1st of all, we had 98 boats, a record for PBC, and probably the least amount of weight ever weighed in on a big
PBC Spring Trail event! That morning the air temp was 44 degrees then warmed up to 68 in the pm. Water temps
averaged about 57 degrees. Winds were light at the 7:15 blastoff and then picked up to about 8 mph for the afternoon!
What we thought was gonna be a good fishing day was crippled by the full moon, another front and the Corp letting the
water out at a high rate. You never know from one day to another how the bite will be. But a good bite is still coming!!

Billy Bledsoe & Brian McDonald topped the field weighing in 5 bass at 20.53 lbs. & also won the 1st Place TWT & Prize
money from TH Marine & Skeeter Boats for a total of $6,713 in winnings. The team found the fish late in 2' to 10'
grassy water using chatterbaits and flipping plastics. They had 1 really big fish (7.24 lbs.) that helped fill the sack!!

Close behind by only .17th of a pound was the team of Seth Ellis & Doug Stalling taking 2nd place with 5 fish (one at
7.36 lbs.) weighing 20.36 lbs. and 2nd Place TWT to take home $1,567 in winnings. 3rd Place Team, Tom Saywell & Brad
Corrao, had 5 nice fish weighing 17.78 lbs. and took home $705!! The 1st Place Big Fish Award (7.64 lbs.) went to the 6th
Place team of Bud Whitt & Spencer Moody. They took home a whopping $1,814 in winnings!!! Shane Burns took 2nd
Big Fish award with a nice 7.59 pounder and won $576! The prize money got spread around pretty good again today!

Only 142 fish were weighed in for a total of 391 pounds for an average of 2.75 lbs. each, the lowest average weight for
Falls Lake I've ever seen for this time of year. Most of the fish were caught on chatterbaits, flippin' plastics and shallow
running crankbaits in anywhere from 2 to 10 feet of water. The Spring bite is coming, but we've got to have some warmer
weather and less cold fronts!!! We also had a lot of new names on the winners list today! Congrats to all !!!

I want to thank all the anglers that participated and all our sponsors that support this trail. Our next tournament is
Saturday April 7th, the PBC Cashion Fishing Rods Spring Trail Q#4 at Kerr Lake out of Flemingtown Landing Wildlife
Ramp. All the info can be found at this link:

RESULTS CASHION FISHING RODS SPRING TEAM TOURNAMENT BASS TRAIL QUALIFIER #3
    Saturday March 24th, 2018 ~ ~ Falls Lake ~ ~ Ledge Rock Wildlife Ramp

Another cold front coming with snow and rain!! We had the Cashion Fishing Rods Spring Team Tournament Bass Trail
Qualifier #3 at Falls Lake anyway because the radar gave us a break with just rain at the weighin. The weather for the 42
teams was not too bad with winds very light for most of the day , the air temps ranged from 32 to 49 and the water level
was right at 252. Surface water temps averaged 50 degrees depending where you were on the lake! The fish were caught
in 2 to 10 foot of water. Water needs to warm up a few more degrees and that should be coming soon!!

Mark Willis & Mike Eggers, found the hot spot and caught only 4 keepers but they were nice ones weighing a total
of 23.75 lbs. to take 1st Place and 1st Place Big Fish (8.28 lbs.) for a total of $1,613 in prize money!

A pound and a half behind was the 2nd Place team of Jaime Fajardo & Josh Hooks landing 5 bass weighing
22.23 lbs. and along with winning the 1st Place TWT they took home $1,113 in winnings. Close behind, the 3rd
Place team of David Walton & Justin Young presented 5 bass weighing 22.12 lbs. to rack up $470 in winnings. The
2nd place Big Fish (7.51 lbs.) was caught by the team of Travis Pomp & Eddie Harris for $252 in winnings!

107 bass were brought to the scales for a total of 338 pounds averaging 3.16 lbs. each. Shallow running crankbaits,
chatterbaits, jerk baits, spinner baits & Jigs in the more shallow water seemed to be the lures of choice.

PBC ACADEMY SPORTS & OUTDOORS $10,000 SPRING TEAM BASS TRAIL
    QUALIFIER #2 RESULTS
Saturday March 17th, 2018 ~ Jordan Lake ~ Farrington Point Wildlife Ramp

The 2018 PBC Academy Sports & Outdoors $10,000 Spring Team Bass Trail Qualifier #2 at Jordan Lake started pretty
good. That morning the air temp was 35 degrees then warmed up to 59 in the pm. Water temps averaged about 50
degrees. Winds were light at the 7:15 blastoff and then picked up to 15 to 20 for the afternoon! All 86 teams agreed it
was a very tough fishing day. As soon as these cold fronts stop coming thru the water temps should be warming and the
Spring fishing will become wide open!! It won't be long'

Brian Fritts & Bo Adams just demolished the field weighing in 5 bass at 34.54 lbs. and also caught the 2nd place Big Fish
(9.10 lbs.) plus won the 1st Place TWT for a total of $3,670 in winnings. The team found the fish in 4' to 10' of water
using spinnerbaits, swim baits & crankbaits!!! They had 2 really big fish that helped weigh down the sack!!

Todd Massey & Brandon Gray took 2nd place with 5 fish (one at 7.30 lbs.) weighing 25.44 lbs. and 2nd Place TWT to
take home $1,595 in winnings. 3rd Place Team, Steve Upchurch & Johnny Howard, had 5 nice fish weighing 23.51 lbs.
and took home $688!! The 1st Place Big Fish Award went to the team of James Sutton & Travis Priest (subbing for
Sutton's regular partner, Michael McLamb). They took home a whopping $1,190 for the 9.34 lb. bass!!!
The prize money got spread around pretty good today!

Only 124 fish were weighed in for a total of 452 pounds for an average of 3.56 lbs. each. Most of the fish were caught on
Swimbaits baits, chatterbaits, spinnerbaits and shallow running crankbaits in anywhere from 2 to 10 feet of water. Water
temps are very important now and they need to warm up a little to get that hot bite we all want! Going to Falls next week
