My name is Jason Alford.
I am 24 years old, and ive always loved hunting and have been an avid duck hunter for years, but just got into whitetail hunting a couple years ago. Last Saturday night was my first opportunity to bag a nice buck. I was sitting in the stand around 5:00pm and the rut had been on for a few days now, i was very confident that it was my day. After an hour in the stand this 8 point walked out to my corn pile. It was the biggest id ever seen in person. I was 50 yards away and he was quartering to me. I waited for a broad side shot but he never gave it to me, so i decided to go ahead and take the quartering shot while i still had the chance. I took him with my 30-06 Remington 770, made i nice shot and he bite the dirt about 30 or 40 yards from where i took the shot.
It was a great experience and now that ive got the first one out of the way i cant wait to step up to bigger more mature monsters!!

Been scouting these two deer for a few months now, they are always together and have very similar features, thats why we call them the twins!! In this photo they look like they are looking in a mirror
