After making my first Bow kill friday morning, I spent the afternoon sat packaging the meat. When my wife and I finished I said okay I am going hunting now. Of course my wife's reply was 'Oh great'. I said don't worry honey I wont shoot another Doe. So I headed to the woods after showering with all the descented soaps. After all It was the first day of Muzzle loader season. I got to my climber stand about 3pm. Sat in the stand for 3hr and did not see anything. I think I heard a deer blow at me a couple times like it picked up my scent. It was a windy day and the direction was changing a bit. At 6:15 I noticed a nice buck coming down the trail right towards me. He was closing in fast and came to a stop about 20 yards from my stand. I looked through the scope of my Thompson Center Omega Muzzle loader and all I saw was shoulder, his head was down behind a tree. I pulled the trigger and he ran about 100 yds before I heard him crash. When I found him I was shocked to see he was a beatiful 11 pointer with double brow tines. This is my first wall hanger and It was a wounderful weekend.
