Well this year i hant missed a day of bow season yet and id have to say its been pretty interesting. I have had 4 nice bucks within bow range but id have to say they were either to close or to far. i had a 6 pt at 3 yds and an 8pt and two small bucks at 60 yds but didnt feel comfortable shooting at such a late time. i also seen the buck that im hoping to get at about 100 yds out he is a ten-or-twelve still in velvet with split g2s and a split browtine. hopefully i will get a shot at one of them that i will feel comfortable making. anybody else having a good season so far?
bow season is in two weeks and i have not even shot yet. i aint to sure about how my bow is gonna do the first time i shoot it. anybody have any suggestions on the safest way to test it out

these are the two bucks i shot within a week from each other back in 2010
can anybody recomend a good drop away? i currently have a whisker biscit and want to upgrade on a rest.
checked my trail camera today and was suprised at what i found here is the biggest buck. can any one guess his score?
need some feedback on a good inexpensive slip on hunting boot that is comfortable for bow season?
i have been still hunting for several years now and have never tried rattling or grunting, or deer scent. does this stuff really work and does anybody have any advice they could spare?
where do i start? guess its best to start with this morn and go towards the evening..
well heres how my day went got up at 5am to go duck huntin and when i got to the swamp i started gettin sick so i had to cut the hunt short. after this i had school till 12 then grass to cut afterwards. after i cut the grass i went to the mailbox to get my check and as i was backing away the mailbox door fell open and left a whopper scratch on the side of my truck. i then locked my keys in my truck on accident as i was gettin ready 2 go huntin. i check the clock and it says 550 so i rush to my hunting spot. i arrive at the place at 610 and walk to my stand once i get in the stand i realized i forgot to spray off with scent away but the wind seemed right so i decided to stay in the stand. 10 min after gettin in the stand a 4 pt starts makin his way 2wards me but i decide to pass on him even though he was at 30 yds. he disapears in the cutdown. 25 min later i hear some noises to my left and look and there is a old 8pt and a young 10pt at 75yds. b4 i can get my blackpowder on them they vanish 10 min later i spot them at 140yds and all i can c is there heads. finally i get a shot and decide to take it and bam a misfire. load another cap and by now they have moved out of sight. i spot the 8pt a few seconds later and shoot this time there is white smoke everywhere and didnt never c the deer run. i call daddy a few min later and he comes and helps me look for blood at the spot i shot him. thats as far as we went and didnt c no signs of a hit anywhere. what a way to end my terrible day.
here are some pics of the bucks i harvested last year. they are my biggest ones to date.
i dont know how to read a lunar chart yet. on opening day when should be the best time to get in the stand?
i have been seeing 3 nice bucks at around 10pm in the same spot almost every nite i go spotlighting. is this an indication that they are close to their bedding area? if not how will i find their bedding area?
ive been puttin my camera out for several weeks now and all the bucks are showin up at 2 or 3 in the morn how do i get a shot on them if they dont come out during daylight hours? will they still be worth bowhunting?
