the spanish are back in the inlet by towns creek marina in swansboro. they are on both sides of the bridge and they school up out in the middle and under the bridge in between those big wood walls on the pillars of the bridge. they are biting shinney baits that are moving about 4 mph. i was using a red fish magic spinner bait with a 4 inch paddle tail mullet. you can either troll but i cought about 30 good sized ones ranging from about 10 to 25 inches just throwing the spinner bait from the boat and i picked up a few blues to.

Does anybody need a boat? My grandad has a 28 foot sea hawk with a 200 mercury. Perfect for trolling for those big bull dolphin or kings and bottom fishing. Not many hours, only been ran 3 times. That thing slices through those waves like they ain't nothing, oh and it has a little sleeping cabin in the front and a zip open cab, not center console.

well i live on the intercoastal waterway and you can pretty much catch any fish in the water way depending on what bait you use. you can catch croaker, spot, puffer fish, flounder, pinfish, pigfish, sea mullet, and sometimes a speckled trout or if you use a bottom rig and some shrimp or fish bites. you probably wont catch any thing huge like a big bull drum but flounder like to hang out around dock pilings and i have caught a 24 and a half inch flounder around the boat lift poles at my house. do they wont to catch a certain kind of fish or do they just want to catch something?

do you live close to core creek? if so and your intrested in catching some good drum i know some really good spots in core creek. or if your intrested in hooking into one of those big bull reds they like to come into core creek in the spring to spawn and ive cought some big ones in some really good spots that i can show you. and there is this little island with a big lagoon in the middle of it but the way in is to shallow for my nautic star but there are lots of drum and flounder in there during high tide and they come out into the channel during low tide to feed on crabs so if your intrested go to core creek im out there about every day.

A comment titled: Thanks in response to a report titled: can't hook'em

Thanks I didn't think about the waves and reflections because I get off work and get home about 2:30 and I'm out on the water by 3:00 so the suns reflection probably is the problem. Thanks I will try that.
