Im curious as to how many hunters out there use a crossbow to hunt and how many have converted from compound bow to crossbow and if they enjoy using them?

    February 16, 2013 at 2:01pm

Im curious as to what are some suggestions and advice everyone does to get thier hunting clothes ready before they hit the woods to hunt?

    February 16, 2013 at 1:55pm

I have a Summit Viper Climber. My question is for those of you that have this climber do you use the blind that came with it or not? Does it really conceal you from deer or do they think its part of the tree?

I just got a CVA Wolf muzzleloder. My questions are, do i want knock down power or have the round pass through? Which type of Powerblet grain round would be good for either one? I'm planning to use 100 grain Pyrodex pellets and Winchester Triple 7 primers.

Would anyone care to share the pro's and cons for ground hunting vs. Tree stand hunting? Any tips or strategies for both?

    October 28, 2012 at 10:06am

I have very thick woods I hunt in. Them most you can see is about 5 feet. I just got starting in bowhunting and a little hesitant to try and shoot a dear in thinking I'll hit it and won't be able to track it or find it due to how thick the woods are. Does anyone else have this problem or suggestions they might want to share?

    October 28, 2012 at 7:44am

I'm using a 12 gauge smooth barrel shotgun with just a bead on the end of the barrel. Most of my shots will be 50 yards or less due to how thick the woods are. My question is do I use slugs if so what kind, or do I use buck shot if so what kind?

    October 13, 2012 at 6:32pm

I have a H&R Pardner pump 12 gauge shotgun with no scope. The barrel is smooth. i would really like to hunt deer with it but not sure what type of ammo to use for a smooth barrel? I would really like to use slugs, any suggestions? Do i need a scope? if so what magnification? what is the maximum distance shouls i shoot a deer? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

At the Deer Classic, there was this one vendor called 20Feet Up. Has anyone else heard or seen any of their videos of these guys. They are a safety harness company that i think are mainly for climbing stands out of Charlotte NC. What caught my eye about them is their harness and safety line make it so that your hands never leave you climber and you can climb the tree a lot faster. Check them out and let me know what you think? (Remember I think they are mainly for climbers). Here is the link.

Hey guys sorry I missed you all, Reese and I weren't able to get up there unti Sunday morning. I stopped by the booth and said hi! I also looked around at the vendors. I was really surprised as popular as they are, there was no lines to talk to them. Also guys Reese says hello to everyone, got him a hoodie sweatshirt from Archer's Choice. Good people their also. Well take care guys, have a safe and great weekend.

The reason i was asking about crossbows is i just thought they would be esier to use. I just really need to dust off the bow (Parker Wildfire Extreme) pulling 56lbs. and practice, practice, practice! Need to get Reese a bigger bow he outgrew his Diamond Nuclear Ice. Plus hes left handed like me. Hes pretty good shot:)

A comment titled: Great blind in response to a report titled: Chair Blind

I have the same blind, very comfortable and it does great in the rain. Very portable. Pretty strong material also. I replaced the ground stakes that came with it with bigger ones when the wind gets a little stronger. I also love how you can get it in small thick places. Thanks for sharing, good luck with it.

Hey Guys! how have you all been? I just wanted to say i bought a Parker Wildfire Extreme Bow last year at a great price! I'm so happy with it, it's so lightweight, fast, and very quiet. Recently Parker came out with a youth crossbow that i have been looking at for Reese its called the The Challanger. Very lightweight and great for blindhunting.
