I went hunting today on a lease I have in Lee County. It got windy and I decided to walk the property boundries and to my disbelief I found a nice brand new ladder stand. Its on the Lee /Harnett line if you read this and its yours you have 24 hours to move it or it will be mine.I hate to be like that but I don't tresspass on your land so stay off mine. If it was on the boundry line it would not bother me as much but its only 50 yards from my lock on and well onto my lease.I really hope to catch you in it though. Then you can deal with the man.
I didn't get to come to the classic.I however did look at all of the photo's of the deer. There where a lot of nice deer killed this year, however some of the mounts were less than I would expect from a Taxidermist. I went for a year to school for it.I know sometimes cheaper sounds better maybe true for some people .But I know if I hang something on the wall I want it to look good! please don't get me wrong.I just know how it is to get the phone calls asking how much it cost and get hung up on because they thought it was too high and could get it done for $100 to $200 dollars cheaper. I don't do any work anymore unless its for family.
I killed this early December. I was sitting in a stand along a fence line with some heavy wooded area between the soy bean field and a strip of tall grass about 20 yds wide by 200 yds long. figured that were I would see the deer but as always it don't work like you expect, happen to look out over soy bean field and all i could see were horns.knew i could make the 200 yd shot and as soon as bullet hit it was on the ground, then seconds later it stood strait up and come running at me like it wasn't hurt. Shot him between shoulder blades at 15 ft.
Is it just me or do all the pitures taken by trail cam have to be taken of the night time to get voted on,by the staff. My youngest brother got what I thought was a good piture that was one in a million chances of getting a deer and hunter on photo at the same time.I told him where to set up the trail cam.Did not know it would also show him in ladder stand also. Its only a five acre tract he has to hunt and he keeps waiting on the big one or a mature doe. He's killed one deer off the property 3years ago and it. Was a tropy buy any means it had a perfect right side but the left side had got twisted some how and was all going strait down.
What do the ---- mean on the time tables. I hope this is not a dumb question.Hope everyone is having a good season. Thanks in advance for replies
